Mount View Seniors’ Housing is proud to recognize Rhea Urmeneta as the 2025 Mount View Lodge Excellence Award winner, an honour that highlights her dedication and steady positivity she brings to her role each day. Nominated by her peers, Rhea reflects the very best of our values, and her presence has made a meaningful impact on both residents and staff.

Rhea has been part of the MVSH family for just over two years, working in the Dietary Department since the day she joined. From the beginning, she has embraced her role with enthusiasm, always eager to expand her knowledge of food service, strengthen her teamwork skills, and support residents with consistent, thoughtful care. Her colleagues frequently recognize her reliability, strong work ethic, and the motivated, steady presence she brings to every shift. These are qualities that have made and continue to make Rhea a valued member of the MVSH team.

For Rhea, the heart of her work lies in the moments she shares with residents. She loves seeing them happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and she takes pride in knowing she plays a part in their day-to-day well-being. She also appreciates the kind, supportive coworkers around her and the positive work environment that motivates her to always do her best. Our Mount View Lodge Site General Manager shared that “though she may be quiet, her warm friendly smile, sense of humor and kind demeanor speaks volumes. She brings a calm, positive presence to the dietary team and carries out her work with care and consistency.”

When she learned she had been selected for the Lodge Excellence Award, Rhea was both surprised and deeply touched. She said it makes her feel proud and grateful to know her coworkers appreciate her contributions, and it inspires her to continue giving her best every day. Her team echoed this sentiment, noting that “she is willing to help out when we are short-staffed, and her dedication and reliability do not go unnoticed. She is a very valuable part of our team, and we truly appreciate her.”

Outside the lodge, Rhea spends her time enjoying life with her family. She loves playing volleyball, relaxing at home, cooking, watching movies, and getting outdoors with her kids. These moments keep her grounded and bring joy into her everyday life, which allows her to bring that positive energy back to her work at Mount View Lodge.

Looking ahead, Rhea hopes to continue growing in her career with MVSH. She enjoys her role in the Dietary Department and is excited to keep improving her skills and take on more responsibility in the future.

Above all, Rhea is grateful to be part of the MVSH community. She says she is proud to work in a place that is caring, supportive, and focused on creating a positive environment for residents.

Congratulations, Rhea, on this well-deserved recognition. Your dedication and kindness make Mount View Lodge a better place for everyone.
