In a heartwarming display of community spirit and competitive edge, the senior residents of Mount View Lodge and Aspen Ridge Lodge squared off in a floor curling challenge that had the entire Lodge buzzing with excitement.

The scene was set at Mount View Lodge in Olds, where residents had been practicing their curling skills for weeks in anticipation of the big showdown. With the Mayor of Didsbury; Rhonda Hunter, and the Mayor of Olds; Judy Dahl, in attendance, along with a crowd of enthusiastic fellow residents, and even staff, the atmosphere was charged with excitement!

As the first stones glided across the floor, it was clear that this was no ordinary friendly match. Both teams brought their A-game, executing precise draws to the button and delivering smashing take-outs with precision. There were gasps of awe as players pulled off double take-outs and delivered truly amazing shots, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Despite the fierce competition, it was Mount View Lodge who emerged victorious with an impressive 8-3 win over their friendly rivals from Aspen Ridge Lodge. But the real victory was in the camaraderie and joy that filled the room as both teams celebrated the spirit of friendly competition.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the residents of Aspen Ridge Lodge arrived sporting curling team hats and wielding noise makers, bringing an extra dose of fun to the event.
