Mountain View Seniors’ Housing (MVSH) manages its seniors’ lodge waitlists in accordance with the Alberta Housing Act and related provincial regulations. As a Housing Management Body legislated by the Province of Alberta, MVSH must ensure that lodge vacancies are offered to those with the greatest need based on eligibility, suitability, and priority criteria, not simply the order applications are received.
Because priority can shift as new applications are submitted or circumstances change, MVSH does not typically disclose a person’s exact position on the waitlist. The waitlist is dynamic and may change from day to day.
MVSH reviews applications regularly, confirms applicant readiness, and matches available suites with individuals based on need, safety, and the suitability of the accommodation. This ensures fair, consistent, and legislated decision-making for all seniors seeking lodge accommodation.
