Self-contained Apartments

Mountain View Seniors’ Housing operates self-contained, one-bedroom apartments in Sundre, Olds, Didsbury, Carstairs & Cremona for low to moderate income seniors. Rent is based on 30% of total income (line 150 of the Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment). The tenant is responsible for electricity, cable T.V., parking & telephone. A security deposit equal to the first months rent is required. A refrigerator, stove & window coverings are provided. All units have one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, living room and is approximately 580 square feet with limited storage. Applicants are prioritized on the basis of need, as determined by income, assets and current housing conditions through a point scoring system.

Application Process for Seniors’ Self-Contained Housing

In order to be processed, all applications must be completed in full, must be signed by a Commissioner for Oaths, and must include the most recent tax year's Notice of Assessment, as well as any other supporting documents. Please allow 2 weeks to process your application. Incomplete Applications will be returned to applicant.

We require you to reapply each year in order for MVSH to have the most current information.
