Family Housing

Mountain View Seniors’ Housing operates 21 homes for lower income families in the communities of Olds, Didsbury, Carstairs. Rent is based on 30% of annual gross income (line 150 of the Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment). The tenant is responsible for electricity, cable & telephone. A security deposit equal to first months rent is required. A refrigerator & stove are provided. Applicants are prioritized on the basis of need, as determined by income, assets and current housing conditions through a point scoring system.

Application Process for Family/Community Housing

In order to be processed, all applications must be completed in full, must be signed by a Commissioner for Oaths, and must include all supporting documents of current monthly income. Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be returned to the applicant. Please allow 2 weeks to process your application.

We require you to reapply each year in order for MVSH to have the most current information.
