Mountain View Housing Foundation

Mountain View Housing Foundation (MVHF) supports four lodges in the Mountain View County and is a registered charity established in 2002.
The foundation is intended to be a vehicle through which funds can be raised to assist the work of Mountain View Seniors' Housing.

The current fundraising focus for MVHF is the "NEW Mount View Lodge" in Olds, Alberta.  The MVHF has made an important committment in helping to provide community based, homelike care facilities that more appropriately meet the needs of this special population.  The Government of Alberta has committed 10.7 million in capital expenses for the development and construction of the new Mount View Lodge.  Furnishings are not provided in the capital expenses and have to be purchased by fundraising efforts.  The Foundation has committed to a fund raising campaign to raise $300,000.

The monies raised by the Foundation will provide for the quality of life enhancements and allow for the placement of special amenities that will broaden the comfort and home life environment of the lodge.  Additions will include fireplaces; a private family dining room, craft and reading areas and furnishing common areas.  All these added features to the new lodge will be made possible through community support secured from the MVHF volunteers.  Our volunteer organization believes that these enhancements are a fitting acknowledgement of the role our seniors have played in the past, and a significant and dignified place they continue to hold in our community.

How Can I Help??

There are many opportunities available to support the Olds Lodge;  A comprehensive donor recognition program is in place to acknowledge contributors.  We are able to provide tax receipts as a registered charitable organization.  For further information on how you can donate to the Mount View Lodge Project, contact Elaine Taylor, Chairperson, 403-556-6116.
